New Work - 2019

During 2018 I started a PhD exploring how we interact with glass in our daily lives.  Increasingly glass plays a huge role mediating our experience of the world.  Through windows and glass in architecture, digital devices in screens and the fibre optic cables that carry data to our laps and through ever more sophisticated lens that see inside our bodies and out into the widest reaches of the universe.  Two bodies of work are emerging from the research I did during last year.  Glimpses of Marleycombe and Ubiquitous Invisibility.  A triptych from 'Glimpses of Marleycombe' has been accepted for the Wiltshire Creative Summer Open Exhibition, and will be on exhibit in Salisbury Arts Centre from 22nd July to 7th September 2019.
