Glimpses through a Lens started as a series of experiments that invite people to observe the world, in micro and macro, through glass in a very conscious way, using  glass 'I-ngots' and beaded screens to highlight how glass alters our perception of the natural world.  The I-ngots are made the size and weight of different models of mobile phone, which means they have a comforting and familiar feel.  It has been suggested  that they could be used to wean people, particularly young people, off constant use of their mobile phones! Beaded screens interact with nature, with other screens, and coloured lens with paintings and digital photographs to alter and enhance the colour, text and light of the artworks.
